Several specialized doctors offer their opinions, as
reported by various sources. Dr. Inge Permadhi, Clinical Nutrition Specialist
at Siloam Hospitals Semanggi, stated the report was false because sickness and
cancer cells could not be healed merely by eating pineapple or other foods.
However, Dr. Marudut Sitompul, Chairman of the Scientific
Division of the Indonesian Nutritionist Association (Persagi), believes that
more research into the efficacy of pineapple water on cancer is needed.
Then, when it came to alkaline water, Dr. Marudut stated
that the information was incorrect. Pineapple is acidic and has a pH of around
4. The lactic acid bacteria will enter the pineapple if it is soaked in water
and fermented, making it more acidic.
This pineapple soaking technique could be done to increase
the antioxidant content of the fruit, similar to how apple cider vinegar does.
Furthermore, clinical nutritionist Luciana B. Sutanto claims
that there is no scientific evidence that pineapple water is effective against
cancer.
"Pineapple fruit consumption does not immediately lower
blood pressure," Luciana explained.
Pineapple is high in vitamins, minerals, fiber, and antioxidants, which help to prevent free radicals from entering the body. Hot water, on the other hand, might deplete the fruit's nutritional and mineral content.
He claims that hot pineapple water steeped in pineapple
pieces simply serves as an infused water that still contains numerous elements
like pineapple.
It was decided from these experienced doctors' explanations
that cancer treatment is significantly more complex and that only hot pineapple
water can treat cancer.
"All references show that information about hot
pineapple water curing and killing cancer cells is incorrect or belongs in the
wrong content category," the turnbackhoaks said.
